i cut my beard down to size. it's not gone, just different. i held the scissors in my hand not moments ago and sweat, but then i did it and i'm glad. it's a huge weight off...my chin.
it was just getting too long even for me. ~1.5 years.
so, i'm going to have it short for a bit, and maybe i'll cut it off, maybe i'll keep it this length, who knows. fun. after having had it for so long i'm getting a little eager for a clean shave, though the moustache is still going 1.5 years strong, and i didn't touch my hair this time.

still totally respectable.
also, are those harpoons on the wall back there?

hahah, no, but i did think the sharp cut i put on my beard made me look more sailor-like.
they're actually lights for stabbing the edges of your yard/garden/path/whatever, but i have them for a multi-point light source, on a dimmer even! : )
what do you think, should i shorten my moustache?

does it inhibit you from doing anything properly? if yes, probably time for a trim. if no, then don't worry! :)

I think it looks better now that it's shorter. However, you would blend quite well if you ever went to where my mom lives in Idaho with your sweet moustache. ;) Overall, you be looking good Ry.

Hey, nice neck!

have you my tobacco perchance?
i'd stop by, but i'm not actually in the hood at the moment.

also: do you feel like a different person, sans the hair?
you seemed a little different to me, and not just visually.
then again, i don't think i've ever really seen you drunk before.
but i always feel different in a different costume, or after some visual modification. still myself, but with different attribute emphasized, you know? wearing a different mask, we express ourselves differently... or something... maybe...

i don't have your tobacco as far as i know, but it could be hiding in the van somewhere.
i don't know how much i'm really a different person without the hair, but it certainly engenders different responses from those around me, and that probably changes how i behave. and, yeah, being drunk makes me more expressive, and though i don't think it makes me a different person, i certainly lose a lot of the inhibitions i have when i'm sober (surprise).
i certainly needed to don a different mask after such a long stint with the beard. i think it started to create a mask i wasn't intending to have. i'm not ever sure how i should look to best express how i feel...it's a difficult problem indeed.
you may not be in the neighborhood now, but you should stop in more often when you are. : )
