Ooo.. that piano is really nice. I find that I like the bits where the circuit-bent sound is either slower-paced or more sparse and lower pitched. The frenetic high-pitch sounds I think negatively detract from the piano more than interestingly compliment as in other parts. In general, the end is much nicer than the beginning, and I think might be even better if there was more empty space in the circuit sounds when building to that point.

Awesome. Thank you!

Certainly I'm thinking that I need to adjust the mix. I think the circuits would be nicer even as is if a little more subsumed. I think more practice with this instrumental combination will only yield better results. There's more of these initial recordings, so there are already, I think, more parts where you get what you suggest. Picking the piece I did was rushed as I was kind of excited to just get some of it up and put up the first good bit I found. : )

Your input is sooo helpful. I have a really hard time standing back and looking at those kinds of details when I'm listening to something I'm so close to.

No problem. I like being opinionated :)

I bet changing the mix would help. My comment stems from the fact that I'm obsessed with narrative right now, and I was wanting the piece to be more structured in that sense. I'm sure it will come with playing together more, though. Yay! for new musical projects.

Certainly we've talked about bringing in some structure. It will come.
