CACOPHONY aims to bring exposure to artists whose work challenges the
definition of their established mediums. We aim to provide an outlet
for fringe genres across medias, from sound to video to performance,
melding creative experimentation into a cacophony of experience.

Come out, Saturday March 25th, for the first date of our monthly Last
Saturday series. Seven local Noise artists, One evening. Including
special audio sculpture by Kent Richardson.

Exquisite Corps (http://iokaos.net/exquisite/)
Instinct Control (http://www.liscentric.com/)
Soup Purse
A Long Pigs Vision of the Godhead
w/ audio sculpture by Kent Richardson

nkondi

Harsh pedal abuse noise, in the vein of the japanese masters. A
spastic cacaphony of destroyed electronics of almost groove like fx
pedal sequences to fast cut ups to beautiful walls of distortion and
high pitched feedback tearing through and back again.

dead/bird

dead/bird is a noise artist from oregon and florida respectively, working
with home brew electronics and circuit bent refuse to create straight
forward solvent soaked guides to panic attacks.

Sleeping with the Earth

Death industrial and powerful electronics since 1998.

http://www.swte.net/

Exquisite Corps

One Man Band of the Proto-Apocalypse. Mad Max the Scientist. A sonic
assult as street busking experiment. Silence is Golden.

http://iokaos.net/exquisite/

Instinct Control

Whereby physicality is an important part of relating matter to sound,
without which it could not exist: In the tradition of the classical
notion of the instrument, Ryan Dunn seeks to establish dynamic analog
electronic instruments rooted in physicality and the manipulation of
space and time, which can achieve a constructed range of variation and
possibility.

Soup Purse

Soup Purse is the solo project of Todd Dickerson, synthesist in
psyche-pop-improv band Dendrites, as well as the
vocalist/electronician of absurdist space-rock assault group Space
Hawk. Soup Purse performances, of which this will be the second, are
an attempt to bridge the gap between humor and experimental music.
Otherwise a 3rd rate boldfaced ripoff of the style of bay area sonic
pranksters Anti-ear and the Bran (...) Pos, let's hope he can
eventually bring something new to the table. Or you can just watch him
make funny faces at his cute little boxes and wires.

A Long Pigs Vision of the Godhead

is experimental music, performance art, butterflies, and disc rot.

Kent Richardson

creates sculptural works incorporating elements of video and sound
that intersect to affect one another in a unified piece.
