Does anyone know what MyLJ.ru is all about?

They're reposting your journal. Like this.

The front page translates as "For those, the coma of the evil of admin was shut the access on ЖЖ". ЖЖ is a Russian play on words that they use to mean LJ. So I think it's a way for people to get around the blocks some places have on livejournal.com. The site probably fetches whatever URL you request directly and sends it back to you... they're probably not reposting it.

I can verify that by seeing how fast they pick up this comment.

Yeah, they "got it" instantaneously. So every time I load any page on there they just make the same request to LJ.

So what does that mean? It's just a russian text version of LJ?

I suspected what Evan was saying, which is: It's a way around firewalling against the site. Which means: Even if someone says you can't access livejournal from where you are you can still access it through this site. I imagine you can't comment or use the site as a specific user otherwise.
