I really like the new answering machine message on my phone.

So fabulous.

Hi Ryan,

Contents of my latest entry, directed at Portlanders:

"spimby-- who I don't know at all in real life-- is moving VERY SOON from Portland to Florida. He has two cats he can't take with him. Can any of you take one or both of them in, or do you someone who can?

If he can't find someone to adopt them, they're going to the Humane Society, where they'll most likely be killed."

Hey! This is Rich,I met you at the Buffalo reading last month, friend of Fleece and Mike's. Want to add each other as LJ friends?

Wed, Mar. 2nd, 2005 06:32 pm (UTC)

Done and done.

When's the next one? This coming monday?

Thu, Mar. 3rd, 2005 09:17 am (UTC)

Well, this coming Monday is Irradiated poets at Red and Black (8pm) which I also recommend, but the next Buffalo reading is Friday - I think 7pm. New venue though, Redwing Coffee at 1700 SE 6th.

Thu, Mar. 3rd, 2005 09:26 am (UTC)

Oh, right on. I have been meaning to come visit the irradiated poets as well. I'm glad I haven't missed that reading this month yet. Perhaps you will see me there if I am not otherwise occupied.

As far as Buffalo, I was hanging with Mike last night and he informed me of the date. Regrettably I'll be heading out of town that friday to go backpacking for four days. Although, not regrettably, because I'd much rather go backpacking for four days. ; ) See ya suckas.

Irradiated poets is pretty cool. Joe, the guy who runs it, actually set up the first poetry reading I ever went to when I was 17, back in Norwalk, CT.

Yeah, not much sympathy for the backpacking...

Want to come to a potluck at my house Friday? 2111 SE Madison- 6:30 ish til whenever.

Thu, Mar. 3rd, 2005 10:01 am (UTC)

Perhaps. My 'manager' (ie, this girl I know who asked whether if she got me an art show she could take a cut) told me about an art show this friday, but it's close to there. I may come and run away after a bit. Thanks for inviting!

You should come see the 'gallery' Mike and Matt (Weatherman) and I are putting together for the art walk. We only heard about it a couple days ago and we're trying to put together a spontaneous event at Matt's place on Division. 33rd or something, right next to McFadden's barbershop in the grey building. We'll be grilling and hanging out most of the weekend i think.

Sat, Mar. 5th, 2005 07:47 am (UTC)

Hey, I was working on putting together a show last night, so I wasn't able to make it. But, you should come see- Mike Franklin and I have a bunch of work up at his/Matt's apartment for Art Walk. 3321 SE Division. Come check it out any time this weekend.

Mon, Mar. 7th, 2005 09:35 am (UTC)

Ah dang it! I was so caught up with stuff this weekend I totally forgot about Artwalk until 4:30 Sunday. I hit a few folks in Ladd's Addition, but that was it. :P

ammenemes3: Renn Fayre...

Hey Ryan, I am thinking pretty hard about coming to PDX for Renn Fayre, but I am not particularly interested in shelling out $50 a night for some mickey mouse Econolodge bullshit. Do you have any tips on the arrangement of housing logistics? I tried posting to reedlj and reedalum but apparently I am 'monitoring' these communities, and not 'a member.' Any clues?

If you go to the info rage for those communities there is a link at the top to join them. At this point you probably just have them listed as friends.

If you get back to me closer to the date I'll have more of an idea whether you can crash at my house. You probably can, though.
