A Stunning First

I think I just got my first email attachment virus.

I mean, imagine this, seriously-

I've been with email and actively on the net for, oh, 8 years maybe? With email in total for what's probably 11 years? and this is the first email attachment I think is probably a virus. I'm impressed I've lasted that long.

It's probably because I have such smart friends who don't use Outlook. hah.

Someone is probably pissed off at me for wanting credit for my images, because the email they used was the one I have posted on the pages containing images that regularly come up on search engines from the old version of my website.

Update: Here's two more of similar variety a second later. Great... Oh well- easily enough dealt with.

virus via email hasn't been popular for long, maybe 5 to 7 years... and since then a lot of major providers filter out the messages with a virus...

I've been getting virus emails almost since the beginning... but I also had a publicly known address at a well known host that didn't filter email...

if your email addy isn't public knowledge then you don't get a lot of the spam... you get even less if your email address isn't a common word or username...

you're using a Mac anyhow. you can laugh in those face of 99% of those viruses... and the tiny percentage that affects you is merely annoying. there are virtually zero seriously damaging Mac viruses. haHAHAHAHAHA.

In fact I believe there hasn't been a new Mac virus since like 88, with Trojan B. I remember having to deal with those back in the day, but I don't really remember them doing anything.

Maybe there are new ones I haven't heard about? I'm not really sure.
