hmm.

Does anyone know how to make cell phone ringtones?

Does anyone want to turn the 'little melody' from Kraftwerk's Pocket Calculator into a monotone ringtone for me?

theoretically, if you just make a single-instrument midi file of it, it works... (i've downloaded a few and gprs'd to my phone...) i haven't figured out poly stuff yet. i also can't play music, nor do i have anything to *compose* midi.

i googled and only found a 7-minute poly arrangement of the entire song so far... if you want to email me your number i can theoretically sms it to you once i get an appropriately-sized clip.

my phone can only do monotone rings. ideally the clip i want is the little melody he demonstrates in the clip i posted there. i may try to put together the midi clip, but i'm not sure i have the program i need either. is there somewhere i can learn how to send midi files to my phone?

i'll email you my number. thanks. : )

"tour de france" was the ringtone on my phone for a couple years. the phone was monophonic but i just tremoloed the notes... which sounded good, it made it sound more like a phone should sound.

if you have a nokia you can get "nokia composer" or other tools for it...
