On the topic of you injuring yourself for artistic purposes...

I had an EMT refresher class last weekend, part of which included review of cases with an ER doc from OHSU. At one point he invited us to shave any interesting trauma cases we'd seen. I mentioned "an individual who injured himself with a gold club," and his eyes lit up. "I remember that case!" he said.

You're famous, dude.

i imagine it's one of those odd cases that spreads among the medical community like wildfire. i hope to reach five million people eventually. golf clubs are a dangerous weapon, i hope to run for office and have them regulated. people should have licenses and club locks so little children like me can't get their hands on one.

you will be remembered for centuries as one of the great tragedies of the 21st century. your art will reach the hearts of millions and you'll die before you're 30.

its an honor to have known you.

well, thank you. although, i hope i don't end up a tragedy...then of course, if i don't will i still reach the hearts of millions? i suppose only history will tell.

honestly, i'd be pretty pleased if i could fully reach the hearts of just a handful.

it all depends on which orifice through which you attempt to reach these hearts, and what you mean by "handful".

i'll be in portland in a 3 months ready to accept a well deserved punch in the gut
