if you liked the piece like i did, it was by jimmy ernst, painted in watercolor in '49. He was the son of two famous german art community members max ernst[painter] and lou ernst[critic and historian]...there is a website set up for him, even though he died in '84, and vonnegut wrote a short bit about his work in the personal commentary section. I found some of his earlier work to be quite interesting.
