i looked at your website and really enjoyed it.
i thought poetry was dead at reed. - -

ok, so lucky i checked my journal manually...i didn't get the message notification...heh. saw you at midnight madness briefly last night though, that is if it is you in the picture here.

i empathise with your assessment of poetry being dead at reed. i run coffeehaus, guess how we did in the funding poll this semester. heh. no funding. i'm also helping with spc, hopfully we can get some stuff in there that won't be completely offensive to all artful intention. it's tough though, support for the arts is really not as prevalent here as you would think. i know i was dissapointed when i started to see what kinds of things get put out here and purported as good. whatever. anyways, ramble, ramble...if you're interested and don't have class after 4 i'm driving a few portlanders and myself up to seattle for the livejournal party...you're welcome to come if you'd like...we're coming back tomorrow, leaving from seattle no later than 2[it's a 3 hour drive]. i will add you as a friend if you don't mind...this sort of response makes me want to rethink my beliefs about a reed livejournal community...maybe it would be a good idea after all. : )

yes, i saw you at midnight madness last night too. us abington kids thought we'd at least make a presence, if not get some food. (we're still the most anti-social dorm on campus.)
i'm actually interested in the small press collective. i just now discovered it, and although i doubt it's highly read around here, it would still be nice. i didn't hear of the livejournal party, and although it would be very, very cool to go and actually meet some of these people, i've got lots of work (i'm sure you have heard that before) because i'm going out of town on wednesday of next week, so gotta catch up. thank you for the warm invitation though! if you could, give me some info on the spc, too.
mm. yes, i wish it was a bigger space of the reed community. i guess i didn't figure it would be this low on the artsy scale. well...i'll stop complaining. thanks for the response and the offer up to seattle, but i'll have to pass on this one. i think the parties are frequent, and maybe there will be one in portland though. have fun on your trip. - ashley
