It constantly amazes me when I do something very simple to fix something at my house, and how no one ever thought to do this before to fix it. I find myself being the only one to fix anything around here as well. So now our phone jack downstairs and in my parents' bedroom works again. Just took resplicing a corroded section of wire in the crawl space. Seems like that's all we ever have to do: just take the time to do something simple and easy and realize all it takes is patience and effort to fix most things. And desire.
